Robert Earle Hughes was born in 1926 weighing 11 ¼ lbs. At age 3 months, suffering from whooping cough, he burst a gland in the back of his neck. From that day on, he grew rapidly gaining pounds and inches daily. At age 20, Robert wore overalls with a 9’-1” waistband. Robert Earle Hughes died at age 32. At that time of his death he weighed 1,069 pounds. Believe It or Not! At the new London Believe It or Not! museum, you can see how many of your friends it takes to weigh the same as Rob!

Ancient Plane

Believe It or Not!, these ancient South American artifacts have caused quite a stir. They were originally thought by archeologists to be golden insect models, but aeronautical engineers thought they more resembled flying machines. The figures are dated around 500-800 A.D. Similar objects have been found in Costa Rica, Peru and Venezuela. The engineers built a to-scale model and proved it was a successful flying machine, but who could have used a pre-historic plane?? Odd Behavior

In a small village in Cambodia, splitting a couple’s belongings in half when they divorce is taken a little too literally. A couple that had been married for 40 years decided that their marriage was over. Court fees would have been too expensive, so the couple decided to literally cut their home in half to split their assets. Only half the house remained standing. The husband dragged the fallen half to a nearby field where he will later reassemble it. Believe It or Not!

Israel's New Weapon

The Israeli police force has devised a new, organic, non-lethal weapon to use against protestors. Skunk is a new substance the police will shoot from a water cannon. The result is a rancid odor of rotting meat, dirty socks and sewage that lingers on the skin for about three days. Police stress that it’s completely harmless if ingested. They hope to soon sell it to police forces overseas. Yuck! Believe It or Not!
